Survey 2014 Wage and Benefit Survey under way

 

This annual survey, produced along with many other PIA affiliates, provides wage, salary and benefit information on a statewide level for more than 120 positions in the graphic communications industry.

PIGC is requesting your participation at this time so the completed report may be available to assist companies during their 2015 budget process (October /November).  Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and return it to PIGC by August 1, 2014.

NEW! Sr. Customer Service Rep:  Exciting opportunity to work in the print services department for the largest school district in Texas! The Sr. Customer Service Representative will be responsible for ensuring delivery of excellent customer service to internal and external clients of the print services group. You will be responsible for coordinating with other departments to resolve inquiries and follow through on requests. You will act as a liason between customers and the print deaprtment. Duties will also include consultation services (outbound calls, emails, etc.) to advise internal customers of print department services. You will perforam a wide variety of support activities such as maintenance, creative services, duplication, procurement, and transportation.  The right candidate should have:
  • 5+ years of related experience including processing orders for printing services
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Microsoft Office Suite and experience with a Pritn Management System

Small Press Operator: Pasadena ISD. Candidate must be able to print on A.B. Dick or Ryobi single-color presses but be run multiple colors with various stock types. Candidate must be knowledgeable about using production copiers and work well under tight deadlines. Education requirment: High School diploma or GED High School equivalency.

Jeff Birmingham Elected PI-Gulf Coast

Board of Directors President for 2014

It's official - Jeff Birmingham has been elected President of the PI-Gulf Coast Board of Directors for 2014.

Jeff has been a part of the industry since graduating from Texas A&M in 1985. In 2001, he and his wife purchased Piker Printing and merged it with Houston Paper Forms which became Alliance Graphics and Printing. He started his involvement on the Board of Directors in 2010. The following year he was elected to the Executive Committee as Vice-President. He now takes the reigns as President for 2014.
