Julie is no stranger to the industry. She is co-CEO of COPI, CodeZ QR and the OutputLinks Communications Group. Ms. Plata, along with her husband Andy, manage their various business operations around the world.

By definition, a masterpiece is a work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship; an artist’s or craftsman’s be3st piece of work. We are looking for your masterpieces of 2011 to enter into the 2012 Graphic Excellence Awards competition.

Parnell Elected PIGC President
Gregg Parnell with Southeast Media, Houston has been elected president of Printing Industries of the Gulf Coast. In a departure from the past, PIGC conducted Board elections by the use of old fashion mail-in ballots verse a voice vote at previous meetings. The entire slate of new officers presented by the PIGC nominating committee was elected. Elected to the Executive Committee are Jeff Birmingham, Alliance Graphic/Printing, Houston as vice-president, Rose Mary Bundscho, Bayside Printing, Houston as treasurer, and Norm Pregram, Premier/IMS, Houston secretary. Also serving on the Executive Committee will be Debbi Briggs, ImageSet Digital, Houston as past-president and Bart Nay, Bart Nay Printing, Houston as Printing Industries of America - Board Representative.
Elected to the Board of Directors are new directors Troy Smith, Pointsmith, Houston; Steve Johns, PrintMailers, Houston; and associate Board member Seth Stokes, Xerox, Houston. Re-elected to the Board are Mike and Louis Newman, Newman Printing Company, Bryan representing the Bryan/College Station area. The newly elected board members will be joining current directors Tim Tully, Southwest Precision Printers, Houston; Axel Krayer, 1 to 1 Printers, Houston; Richard Wright, Wright’s Media, The Woodlands; and associate Board members Jeff Sadler, PRISCO; and Rich Wales, Olmstead-Kirk Paper, Houston. Congratulations to all and we look forward to an exciting year which includes the 2012 Graphic Excellence Awards and the popular Oktoberfest celebration among other events.
