Election in Progress

The Nominating Committee for the 2014-2015 Board of Directors, Printing Industries of the Gulf Coast, has submitted its nominations for the membership to vote on.  The Committee has re-nominated the current members of the Executive Committee for a second, one year term. Those officers are: Jeff Birmingham, President; Rose Mary Bundscho, Vice-President; Norm Pegram, Secretary; Barney Eldridge, Treasurer and Bart Nay, National Representative to PIA.  Also, the Committee has chosen to nominate current Board Members Trevor Tully and Steven Johns for second terms as their current terms are expiring. All other Board positions are not up for election.  New Board nominees are Gaylyn DeVine and Hugh Nguyen.  Ballots have been sent to all “official” members according to association by-laws.  All ballots must be returned to PIGC by November 7, 2014 in order to be counted.

Ausgezeichnet!

That was Oktoberfest 2014 on October 9th.

If you weren't there, you missed one fun-tastic evening. Around 200+ guests enjoyed all the fun and festivities that are Oktoberfest - food, friends and beer.

The award-winning St. Arnolds' beer is just part of the story. Guests also enjoyed a tasty German food buffet complete with three different types of sausages, saurkraut, potato salad, German bread, soft pretzels, cheese and of course, apple strudel for dessert.

There were plenty of other activities as well - you could make a print at the Printing Museum table, visit all the sponsors for a chance to win a VISA gift card, play the Duck Pond (courtesy of Space Age Laminating and Bindery), see the top winners form this year Graphic Excellence Awards Program, win one of the fabulous give-aways, and visit with your friends in the industry.

We want to thank all of our terrific sponsors who help make this event possible - AGFA, Canon Solutions America, Clampitt Paper, Heidelberg, HPMA, InfoVine, Kodak, Olmsted-Kirk Paper, Printing Museum, Ricoh, Space Age Laminating & Bindery, Texas Printers Insurance Agency, and Vulcan Information Packaging. Vielen Danke.
